Description
A friend texted me to ask what I was cooking for dinner tonight. Rather than just give a written explanation I chose to text back some images as I made the dish.
Images taken using an iPhone 4 using Hipstamatic set for lens: John S, Film: Float & Flash: Berry Pop.
Recipe is:
Steak Strips fried in 1/3 toasted sesame seed oil, 2/3 ground nut oil. Sliced Red Pepper, Mangetout, baby sweetcorn halved lengthways and 45 degree cut Echalion Schalots. Salt, rough ground black pepper, a pinch of chinese 5 spice and a pinch of fresh grated nutmeg. two packets of Black Bean sauce and a splash of thai fish sauce to flavour. Served on wheatmeal noodles boiled with salt, toasted sesame oil and japanese rice mirim.
BTW that's not really a recipe, it's what just came into my head at the time. I cook the same way I produce images, start with a basic idea then go with what feels right an not worry too much about the outcome.
